Dasatinib
For an informed discussion with your doctor or pharmacist. This information collection is not a clinically validated interaction checker. Missing data do not establish safety. Do not change or stop prescribed medicines on the basis of this information. The findings apply to the specific conditions studied; laboratory and animal studies cannot be directly extrapolated to humans.
Active substance: Dasatinib
Examples of brand names: Sprycel [EU/DE]
ATC code: L01EA02
Main use (for orientation): Leukaemias
Documented research summary
CBD/dasatinib showed synergy in A549 cells and a xenograft model, not in clinical testing. The fetal lung model with dasatinib plus quercetin is a multi-substance rescue experiment, not isolated evidence of a human drug interaction.
Uncertainties and limitations
Single-ingredient oral dasatinib preparation for human use.
Shared enzymes must not be equated with clinical evidence of an interaction; CBD/THC findings cannot be extrapolated to other cannabinoids.
Separately recorded findings
2 separately recorded findings. Each statement applies to its documented study context.
CBD – laboratory and animal studies
Finding ID: B0180
Type of result: Preclinical evidence
Observation: Synergistic apoptosis (ZIP>10 in vitro) and an enhanced antitumour effect in the xenograft model.
Mechanism: SRC/PI3K/AKT
Study type: Cell and, where applicable, animal experiment; abstract assessed
Context studied: A549 cells and a mouse xenograft with low-dose dasatinib.
Clinical interpretation: Experimental finding; no clinical treatment or dose recommendation
Limitations and uncertainties: No human study; no clinical safety or suitable dosage inferred.
Original sources for this finding: Synergistic effect of cannabidiol with dasatinib on lung cancer by SRC/PI3K/AKT signal pathway. [BMED38503236]
CBD/THC plus nicotine (multi-substance exposure) – laboratory and animal studies
Finding ID: B0181
Type of result: Preclinical evidence
Observation: Dasatinib/quercetin reduced senescence/interferon signals after combined cannabinoid/nicotine exposure.
Mechanism: Senolytic rescue with dasatinib plus quercetin
Study type: Cell and, where applicable, animal experiment; abstract assessed
Context studied: Human fetal lung explants at 10–16 weeks of gestation, ex vivo.
Clinical interpretation: Experimental finding; no clinical treatment or dose recommendation
Limitations and uncertainties: Not an isolated dasatinib–CBD pair; no pregnancy treatment or human drug interaction demonstrated.
Original sources for this finding: Co-exposure to cannabinoids and nicotine increases senescence in prenatal human lung development. [BMED42414534]
